My recent work is abstract which is meditated in monochrome. The meditated art works through repetition which is focus on the other side of our emotions.

My work is based on Western Action painting and Korean naturalism which promotes simplicity and nature. As an artist from a different culture, the roughness action of ripping, dripping, sticking reflects the fear people experience when they first encounter the new ideas and concepts of another culture.

We have often found that there is more confusion, tension, brokenness and loneliness in convenient multi-layered societies. This is represented with rough texture and the dripping paint which spontaneously expresses the emotions while meditating myself at the same time.

It is predominated by the white paint which reflects purity, emptiness, calmness and peacefulness, and the repeated dripping effect imprints its individual mark which imitates the every ongoing moments in our lives.

The key aspect of my work is to discover the other side of our inner nature in between different cultural life.
